Top Affiliate Earner: It’s Ideas That Makes All The Difference
Monday 23 June 2008 @ 4:36 am

One of the things that I have been quick to note about all the top affiliate earners that I have been privileged to study is that they’ve all been bubbling with one thing. That thing has been marketing ideas.

There are really no two ways about it. If you intend to get to the top as an affiliate earner you must be the sort of person who comes up with new ideas all the time. Mostly ideas on how to increase your traffic, because in this business, the rules are real simple, the more the traffic that you are able to generate, the more money you will make.

One other thing the top affiliate earner will tend to do is to take full advantage of free tools. The promotional marketing article is one such tool and there are again many ideas that can be applied to this amazingly powerful online marketing tool to increase the targeted traffic arriving at your site.

It starts with the sort of article ideas that the top affiliate earner comes up with. This may sound pretty basic and maybe even close to petty, but it is far from being that. The topic of an article can make the difference between how many people read it. And what a huge difference. One promotional article can end up never attracting any interest for re-posting and at best will probably get read by a dozen persons or so in the space of about a year. In the same year another article idea that the same top affiliate earner came up with can result in an article that gets re-posted in hundreds of other sites all over the web and ends up getting read by millions of hot prospects.

Are You Building a Business or a Downline?
Tuesday 13 May 2008 @ 12:36 pm

A common mistake *A LOT* of affiliates make is to focus too much Energy on building their second tier and not enough on selling Their business on the first tier.

I myself belive that two-tiered affiliate programs are overrated, If you have a website that PRE-sells effectively you stand to make Quite a bit more by concentrating your efforts on your first tier.

Simply put, if you plan to make a living online and build a serious Source of income from affiliate programs, you cannot rely on others To sell products for you.

When I got started I had this ‘great’ idea of applying to a few programs, Then signing a ‘motherload’ of sub-affiliates and reaping the benefits of THEIR efforts.

Did it work?

Ahem………… NO. I came to the realization that it is nearly as difficult to Sign sub-affiliates as it is to make direct sales. You cannot simply join A program and promote your team building link everywhere you go.

* Remember between 95-98% of affiliates never make a profit!*

Even if you sign a hundred affiliates under you, you still cannot make a decent living off of the commissions generated by their sales.

The best way to generate a good source of additional income from affiliate Programs is to find a high paying affiliate program that is compatible with Your business’ theme and blend your ‘recommendations’ (affiliate links) into Informative content that is beneficial to the reader.

The “Go here, buy this” approach will yield minimal rewards for you and your Visitors. No one wants to feel pressured into buying a product, if they feel Informed and not ’sold’ they will be far more likely to click to your merchant.

Building a downline through your affiliate programs is an excellent way to ENHANCE your business and generate some ‘additional’ income but, if you spend Too much time on this, you’ll be neglecting the heart of your business.

Affiliate Marketing Tips - Staying In Touch With Your Visitors
Friday 21 March 2008 @ 12:02 pm

Research shows most visitors don’t buy the first time they visit your website. In fact it may take them many more times before they actually trust you enough and feel comfortable enough to buy from you.

That’s why it’s so important to have newsletter subscribers which you send offers to on a regular basis (along with quality information too). Give your visitors an incentive to sign up for your free newsletter by offering a special gift.

Don’t let this step intimidate you. The gift can be something as simple as a free report you put together or you can even give them someone else’s freebie. There are many webmasters who allow you to distribute their free content. Simply do a search and you’ll find plenty of free products you can use.

Once your visitor signs up to your mailing list, send them to a thank you page which has a link for them to download their free gift. This is also the perfect page to include your affiliate product offer. If someone has just signed up to your mailing list chances are they will click over to check out what you’re offering.

Write a sequence of autoresponder messages which will automatically be sent to your mailing list on set dates. Now don’t just send them sales pitch after sales pitch. The idea is you send them more valuable information. You can also take the opportunity and get them to ask you questions.

On every mailing you send them valuable information include a small blurb about your product or send them to your product review page so they can read your full unbiased review.

And don’t worry about having to write a newsletter. It doesn’t have to be anything too formal or containing too much extra information. A short message of high value will help you build a strong relationship with your subscribers.

Stay in touch with your visitors on a regular basis and you’ll soon start to see your affiliate marketing efforts pay off.
